Oversee site staff and uphold site professionalism.
Schedule and facilitate site team meetings to ensure communication of weekly programming and planning schedules.
Recruit students for programming.
Attend school Open House and Kindergarten Round up and staff the i-CARE information table.
Serve as a liaison between parents and school, including handling written communication to families.
Take payments, ensure accounts are current and make deposits as scheduled and or as needed to be in compliance with state requirements.
Oversee site compliance to the to the i-CARE program budget.
Ensure daily attendance is accurately submitted into EZChildTrack, monitor attendance sheets to ensure parent portion is complete, and submit original to i-CARE office and keep copies on site.
Attend trainings and professional development meetings along with monthly Site Coordinator Meetings.
Monitor assessments and retrieve classroom data in order to submit program, site and student reports via EZReports and/or Excel spreadsheet entry as required.
Provide leadership for establishing student services.
Advocate with site principal for adequate space for implementation of the programming with in the elementary building.
Provide visible support/motivation to elementary building staff and families.
Establish positive school climate and orderly program space for students, staff and volunteers participating in the program.
Communicate regularly with building principal and staff to ensure ongoing program success and academic alignment to state standards and classroom instruction.
Coordinate schedule for services with school building personnel and calendar.
Conclude school/program year with detailed exit inventory.
Provide organization and communication with community members for student/program services for the elementary site.
Evoke confidence and trust from families, building staff and community members.
Monitor bus radio for any transportation needs until all of the site’s students are safely home.
Assists and guide students with all subject areas during Homework and Enrichment time.
Ensure Indiana Afterschool Standards at site level are met
Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned activities.
Assists in program preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.
Assists with program behavioral management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly site, and ensure students are on task.
Assists in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student snack, bus duty, playground duty, corridor, Positive Action, and other related non-instructional areas when needed.
Constructs, copies, distribute, and use educational materials if needed.
Assists students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion, learning, achievement of IEP objectives, etc.
Assist students with disabilities with activities for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in after school or learning activities.
Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.
Must be able to work 6:30-8 am (6:30-10 am on 2 hour delays) and 1-6 pm daily.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed to assist students.
Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff and others.
