· Coordinate and facilitate tutoring programming to said programming components
· Coordinate schedule for services with school (site) building and calendar
· Advocate for adequate space or implementation of the programming
· Recruit students for programming using BCSC Student Selection processes
· Provide organization and communication with Community Members for student / program services for the elementary site
· Serve as a liaison between parents and school, including handling written communication (letters) to families
· Test students bi-weekly to monitor student / program success
· Oversee site compliance to the Book Buddy budget
· Attend monthly training and professional development meetings
· Monitor assessments and submit program, site, and student reports of the program as required
· Provide leadership for establishing student services
· Provide visible support / motivation to elementary site building staff and families
· Establish positive school climate and orderly classroom / program space for volunteers participating in programming
· Communicate regularly with building staff to ensure on-going program success and academic alignment to state standards and classroom instruction
· Conclude school / program year with detailed book inventory and classroom exit inventory
· Evoke confidence and trust from families, building staff, and community members
Qualification
48 hours of college credit required or must have passed the ParaPro Teacher Assistant Competency Assessment.
