    Function / Position Summary
    Assist in all aspects of logistics. Responsible for the management of the Distribution Center. Function with minimal supervision to accomplish the responsibilities of the position. Maintain confidentiality of student/staff information in the district and in the community. Facilitate evaluation process for Distribution Center staff. Ensures that all district policies, procedures, work rules and performance standards are followed by the department. Provide support to all district locations with extraordinary customer service.
     
    Job Duties / Responsibilities
    • Supervise the Distribution Center staff with their functions, including inventory, movement of supplies and equipment throughout the district, and the sale of surplus items.
    • Coordinate logistics for consumable supplies, materials, furniture and equipment to support all schools and district auxiliary facilities.
    • Responsible for all Distribution Center functions including but not limited to receipts, inventory, authorization of payments and delivery of supplies and equipment.
    • Assist with development of the annual budget for the Distribution Center.
    • Provides oversight and direction for warehouse inventory management.
    • Oversee, audit and manage overtime to streamline and minimize usage.
    • Schedule the relocation and distribution of district property, as needed.
    • Develop and implement staff training and safety programs for Distribution Center staff.
    • Collaborate with procurement team as it relates to distribution and documentation of end- to-end procurement process.
    • Collaborate with department leadership to set goals and establish processes.
    • Assist in the creation, maintenance and evaluation of interdepartmental forms and operational policies and procedures.
    • Work closely with buildings and departments to provide exceptional customer service
    • Attend Board of Education Meetings as required.
    • All other duties as assigned. 
    Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
    • Must hold or obtain a valid CDL class B license with air break endorsement within three months of employment.
    • Must hold or obtain a forklift certification within three months of employment.
    • Bilingual - Spanish/English - written/verbal (preferred).
    Experience / Knowledge
    • Logistics and/or planning experience (strongly preferred).
    • Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Software.
    • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders using effective written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to write and review standard operating policies and procedures.
    • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role. 
    Physical Demands
    • Ability to meet the physical demands of the DOT requirements for a licensed CDL driver in the state of Illinois.
    • Travel throughout the district in support of the department's operations.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to lift, bend and kneel.
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    Terms of Employment
    • This is a 12-month position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.
    • Flexibility in regular schedule, including evening/weekend hours is required.
    • The salary range for this position is $85,602.00 - $128,410.00. It is our typical practice to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ($106,999.00).
