Function / Position Summary
To provide quality educational experiences during the summer for students requiring intervention for academic promotion.

Education
Education Teacher-Spanish endorsement (Grades 9-12, 6-12 or PK-12) and a HS Biology
or HS Science-Biology endorsement; OR an Educator License with Stipulations with a
Transitional Bilingual Educator endorsement in Bilingual Education Teacher-Spanish
(ELS-TBE) is required.

Experience / Knowledge
Physical Demands
Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects
or materials up to 30 lbs. with proper technique.
Terms of Employment
reserves the right to terminate the position by the third day of student attendance if a minimum
number of students do not register or enroll.
High school summer school takes place at Streamwood HS from June 2 through July 2 with professional development on May 28-29.
Summer school occurs Monday through Friday with no school on June 19, 2025 to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday.
Staff must be available on all days during the summer school sessions.
Staff hours: 7:30 am to 1:45 pm.
Student school day: 7:45 am to 1:30 pm.
ETA members will be paid the Instructional Rate. DUSA and DUEA members will be paid their DUEA and DUSA rates.
