Early Childhood Specialist Position

We are creating a combination 5-day preschool program taught by our experienced, licensed teachers and an early childhood specialist for the 2025/2026 school year. This position will align with our current preschool to provide a similar routine and structure using the Frog Street and Conscious Discipline curriculums. This position will also provide childcare for students in our 5 day preschool program and aftercare program on school days and teacher inservice days. The ideal candidate has the ability to be flexible enough to work with a wide range of students and adults in a highly professional and confidential manner. This is a 9 month, school year position starting in the 25/26 school year, and the scheduled shift may be 7:30a - 3:00p or 10:00a - 5:30p. 

Job Duties include: 
• Collaborate with preschool teachers to align day and curriculum with theirs
• Communicate with parents on a daily basis at drop off, pick up or through messages
• Create an environment geared toward 4-5 year olds enriched in literacy, math and social skill development
• Build relationships with each child and their family to create a safe school family
• Implement rules that provide a consistent routine and clear expectations for children and co-workers
• Physical requirements include ability to alternate sitting and standing, lift, crouch, kneel, stoop, and/or crawl. 
Qualifications include:
• High School Diploma
• Five or more years of early childhood experience and/or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, 2-year early childhood degree, or relevant coursework.
Salary range is $17.75 to $21.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
