  Job Summary: 
The Paradise Bay maintenance staff is responsible for the overall workings of the water park which includes the filter room operations, chemical safety and handling, general repair and cleanliness throughout the facility and the water.

Qualifications:
High School Graduate or trade school apprentice in a related job.
 
Reports To:  Water Park Manager and                             Department:  Recreation
                      Facilities and Aquatics Manager

Rate: $16 Hourly

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. General Administration
 
1. Attend all staff training sessions on filter room operations, chemical safety and handling and evacuation procedures.
2. Responsible for the maintaining of the entire facility according to DuPage County Health Department standards.
3. Be responsible for the upkeep of all pool decks, turf decks, and outside flowerbeds.
4. Assist in chemical testing if needed.
5. Complete and document the facility safety check – list on a daily basis and report problem areas to manager immediately.
6. Assist the concession staff with stocking items or supplies and cleaning café area.
7. Be available to help with the loading and unloading of deliveries and place them in the proper storage area.
8. Be responsible for the changing of chemical tanks, tubs, or units when necessary.
9. Be responsible for the vacuuming of all pools and power washing deck.
11. Be responsible to act in a professional manner at all times while on duty at the facility, thus creating a positive image of the Park District.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essentials Functions
1. Maintain water quality (a proper balance of chlorine).
2. Maintain proper pH balance.
3. Cleaning of grassy areas/pool deck/locker room.
4. Required to find a substitute if they cannot cover hours
Requirements
1. Must be 18 years of age or older in order to handle pool chemicals.
2. Must become familiar with Material Safety Data sheets located onsite.
3. Be able to wear protection equipment when handling liquid chlorine or liquid caustics.
4. Must be detail oriented.
5. Be able to lift 50 lbs. Encourage to use mechanical or manual assistance for lifting over 50 lbs.
6. Ability to obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
