  •   Job Summary: 
    The Custodial Maintenance is responsible for the building and facility maintenance as well as general tasks.
     
    Qualifications:
    Must be at least 18 years old or older. At least two years of maintenance experience is required.

    Pay: $16 per hour
     
    Reports To:  Madison Meadow Athletic Center Manager    Department: Recreation
     
    Type of Position:           Part-time   

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities
     General Administration 
    1. Accomplish job assignments with a minimal amount of supervision.
    2. Responsible for the proper care and use of all equipment.
    3. Maintain open communications with immediate supervisors and staff.
    4. Perform all job assignments in a professional and efficient manner.
    5. Other duties as assigned through immediate supervisors.
      Custodial Maintenance
    1. Responsible for cleaning studios, gymnasium, washrooms, locker rooms, offices, and related areas within facility.
    2. Responsible for removing trash, preparing room set-ups, and helping with programs and rentals.
    3. Assist with painting projects - both interior and exterior of building.
    4. Repair broken benches, lockers, desks, and facility amenities.
    5. Assist with the repair of drinking fountains and water lines.
    6. Complete snow removal to insure walkways, stairways, landings and ramps are free and clear of ice and snow.
    7. Assists with set-ups related to ongoing fitness programs, athletics programs, special events, and recreational activities.
    8. Ability to maintain all floors in a proper fashion. IE: strip, wax, restore.
    9. Cleaning of fitness equipment.
      Requirements
    1. Operate light machinery and equipment within scope of responsibilities.
    2. Ability to clean and sanitize in accordance with health and safety standards.
    3. Knowledge and ability to complete customary construction and repair projects. 
    4. Possess a valid driver’s license.
    5. Effective communications skills to deal with the public and fellow employees. 
    6. Must be willing to become familiar with employee safety manuals and related training.
    7. Able to lift heavy objects with no bending or twisting restrictions.
    8. Be able to lift 50 lbs. Encourage to use mechanical assistance for lifting over 50 lbs.
