---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PRIMARY FUNCTION: To supervise and coordinate the duties of other custodial staff within the building and to do related work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
1. Hold a high school diploma or GED certificate.
2. Experience (3-5 years) in building cleaning, minor maintenance.
3. Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
4. Simple repair skills and maintenance methods familiarity.
5. Awareness of fire and safety protocol.
6. Physical strength, dexterity, and ability to do manual work.
7. Ability to train and supervise custodians.
PHYSICAL EFFORT/ACTIVITIES: Job requires setting and working from extension ladders, lifting heavy boxes and materials (80-100 lbs.)
REPORTS TO: School Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To coordinate the duties of others on the custodial staff of the building.
2. To maintain all areas of the building and grounds as required for proper care and cleanliness.
3. To maintain the custodial supply room.
4. To maintain an inventory for all custodial supplies and equipment.
5. To operate security systems and fire safety systems.
6. To inspect buildings and equipment and report deficiencies.
7. To perform other duties as assigned by the principal or other building administrators.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months – 8 hours per day
EVALUATION: Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of classified personnel.
