Salary Range: $44,518-$82,959
Benefits: The teacher benefits include contributions to health, dental, and life insurance plans, with the district covering a portion of premiums. Full-time eligible teachers can access the district's Group Health Plan and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) if enrolled in a high-deductible health plan, with contributions up to $968.57/month in 2024-25. If eligible, the school district contribution toward dental insurance is $59.14/month for the 2024-25 school year, and the contribution toward life insurance is $20.69/month for the same period. Sick leave accrues at 12 days annually, with up to 48 hours designated as Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST). Unused sick leave is unlimited, while ESST accrues up to 20 days. Additionally, teachers have access to bereavement, jury, military, and unpaid childcare leave along with a matched 403(b) plan and professional development opportunities. Reporting Relationship: The Elementary Instructor reports directly to the Building Principal
East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 9,000 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district's K-12 enrollment is approximately 1950 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Position Summary:
The Elementary Instructor will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long standing commitment to academic excellence. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment, committed to the academic and social growth of each student, and skilled in creating engaging lessons aligned with Minnesota State Standards.
Essential Duties:
The Elementary Instructor will be responsible for developing lesson plans, delivering differentiated instruction, and performing formative and summative assessments based on the MN Academic Standards that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community. The teacher will also be responsible for collaborating with colleagues to best respond to student needs, as well as communicating with parents regarding student performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Lesson Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet Minnesota State Standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of elementary aged students.
Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and safe classroom environment that encourages student participation and self-discipline.
Student Support: Provide support to students with diverse learning styles and needs, including those requiring individualized education programs (IEPs) or other accommodations.
Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress through tests, quizzes, projects, and assignments and communicate results to students, parents, and administrators. Use data to adapt instruction as needed
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to plan curriculum, share resources, and participate in professional development. Maintain clear, open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Licensure: Valid Minnesota teaching license for elementary education, or eligibility to obtain one.
Experience: Prior experience teaching elementary-aged children is preferred.
Skills:
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
