       Class IV ranging from $24.65 - $29.12 per hour
       *Wage placement based on similar experience

    Responsibilities
    • Works with Educational Equity Liaisons to obtain/translate documents and communicate to families, monitors volunteers tracking/training, creates and monitors food service software issues, assists in scheduling meetings
    • Maintains and monitors online application system, edits states Application for Educational Benefits, uploads direct certifications and notifies results to families, helps with verification, works with homeless liaison, prepares/tracks supplies, uniforms, substitutes, complies and prepares claim reimbursement, processes and prepare invoices for payment
    • Provides technical support for food service software including parent assistance, assists with menus on website, prepares new hire/summer/back-to-school packets
    • Takes notes at meetings, processes department mail, tracks catering invoices, process walk in payments and bank deposits
    • Performs various routine clerical duties, utilizing standard office equipment, to include: screening incoming calls; taking and transmitting messages; maintaining calendars; making photocopies; faxing documents; typing; requisitioning supplies; and monitoring and restocking office supplies and materials.
    • Fills in for receptionist, as needed for lunches and breaks

    Skills Required
    • Using modern office equipment, computers and related software applications.
    • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite & Power Point and willingness to learn new software.
    • Ability to learn and navigate student databases systems.
    • Ability to design, iterate, and follow multi-step, conditional processes.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Performing mathematical calculations, including standard statistical calculations
    • Interpreting and applying applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
    • Maintaining confidentiality, records and report preparation.
    • Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
    • Social prospectiveness and sensitivity to cultural differences.
    • Ability to multitask and work effectively, efficiently and kindly in a fast-paced environment.
    • Assist in maintenance of budgets, purchasing, and spreadsheets sufficient to store and report data.
    • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with diverse populations of staff students and parents.
    • Demonstrate respect for the basic dignity of students, teachers, support staff, colleagues and parents.
    • Work cooperatively with students, teachers, support staff, colleagues and parents.
     
    Education and Experience Required
    • High school diploma required  + AA Degree and/or 5 years clerical experience preferred
    • 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible clerical experience
    • Clerical/kitchen experience in an school food service setting preferred
    • School Nutrition Association level I and/or MN Certified Food Protection Managers license preferred
    • Knowledge of school food service software (Linq) preferred 
    • Intermediate knowledge of communication patterns and mannerisms of multiple cultures
    • Multilingual preferred, sufficient to read & write proficiently, and speak fluently
    • Must have valid Minnesota Driver’s License
     
    Working conditions/Physical Requirements
    Duties are generally performed in a typical office/school setting where there are minimal environmental hazards and risks. Employee(s) may be exposed to some disagreeable conditions involving human/student contact and exposure to minor illness.
     
    Ability to perform the following actions: standing, sitting, using hands dexterously, talking, hearing, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds on occasion, reaching, stooping, walking, bending, crouching.
