Serve as team lead and point of contact for Technology Support Specialists
Provide additional depth to the Network Engineering discipline
Advise the Director of Technology of any trends found in recurring technology issues at the school
Serves as point of contact for vendors working on-site at a school
Configure, install, service, and repair computers, networking equipment and software.
Assist the Director of Technology in the review, selection and purchase of computers, networking equipment, software and related technology
Configure and install user applications/software and customize desktop and/or network settings to accommodate user needs.
Assist in supporting hardware and software needs for the district, working with other technology support staff members or project teams as needed.
Monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for security events.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by addressing security concerns before they become issues.
Isolates, defines, and corrects network, software, and user security issues.
Provides security guidance and support to personnel as directed.
Provides periodic executive summaries of District’s security posture to the Director of Technology.
Coordinates with Systems and Network teams to ensure vulnerabilities are identified and addressed.
Competent in security roles of firewall and filtering appliances and how to use logs for investigative purposes.
Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues in a timely manner and report findings to the Network Engineer.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Works alongside the Director of Technology and Network Engineers to create strategic plans and goals for future growth and technology usage outlook plans.
