    Work Days:  190-240 days

    Qualifications:  

     
    • High school diploma

    • One year business college or three years successful secretarial experience, preferred

    • Competent organizational and filing skills

    • Sense of confidentiality

    • Skills in interpersonal relationships

    • Computer skills

    Performance Duties & Responsibilities:

     
    • Demonstrate a positive role for public relations in representing the school system.

     
    • Perform administrative support/secretarial duties for the Directior of Exceptional Education 

     
    • Prepare financial and related reports, documents, and presentations.

    • Prepare correspondence and memos.

    • Order and organize supplies for the department.  

    • Organize and maintain an efficient filing system.   

    • Maintain a calendar schedule.

    • Other duties as assigned. 

     
    • Telephone receptionist

    • Greet and direct all visitors as necessary

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    Other Functions: 

     

    Daily attendance and punctuality are required to ensure the goals of the work unit are met.

     

     

    Working Environment:

     

    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: 

     

    Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 35% walking/standing, 55% sitting and 10% lifting/carrying.

    Evaluation:   System evaluation completed by supervising teacher and/or Principal/Assistant Principal/Instructional Specialist.
