TITLE: Certified Teacher – Out of School Programs
REPORTS TO: Site Coordinator/District Coordinator OST Programs SUPERVISES: Support staff
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hourly rate; part-time school year only position
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Work successfully under the direction of the Site Coordinator to direct, manage, and oversee a classroom that includes supervision of support staff and students. The Certified Teacher will have a strong depth of knowledge to utilize program resources to implement curriculum and lesson development and enrichment planning and development.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This description of the position of Certified Teacher – Out of School Programs is for identification and administrative purposes only. It is not intended to be a complete statement of all duties, which may be assigned or adjusted by the Superintendent of Schools according to varying needs.
1. Assist the Site Coordinator in managing daily operations of the out of school programs and activities at building site, including support staff, student supervision, development of activities, lessons and curriculum, student attendance, snack distribution/counts.
2. Ensure that program operations are consistent with District policies, including emergencies, accidents, incidents, and personnel policies.
3. Create and foster a high-quality program that implements age-appropriate activities and projects to support the school’s magnet pathway and school day learning.
4. Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with students, families, principal, teachers, school staff, and program staff at building site.
5. Attend professional development, training workshops and staff meetings as necessary. 6. Respect cultural diversity and create an inclusive, welcoming, and collaborative environment.
7. Submit a daily schedule of enrichment activities to Site Coordinator every 6-8 weeks as directed by Site Coordinator.
8. Submit an accurate time sheet bi-weekly on day indicated to the Site Coordinator.
9. Assume such other functions as may be determined.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• NLPS Certified Teacher
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products, including strong skills with Word and Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with out of school programming and activities
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of non-certified staff SALARY: $40.00/hour

Salary: $21.00 an hour

2. Monitor staffing hours, timesheets.
3. Oversee and implement enrichment activities in collaboration with site staff.
4. Contribute to and distribute monthly newsletter to families.
5. Establish, build, and maintain positive relationships with building principal, teachers, students, and families.
6. Ensure that program operations are consistent with District policies, including emergencies, accidents, incidents, and personnel policies.
7. Plan and conduct staff meetings as directed by District Coordinator. 
8. Assist in OST program promotion and staff recruitment.
9. Update Family ID as needed for program registration and train staff to access data needed.
10. Acquire appropriate and adequate materials and resources for program site in collaboration with District Coordinator.
11. Maintain inventory records of program supplies and equipment in collaboration with staff.
12. Maintain accurate attendance and student sign out sheets.
13. Consult with District Coordinator regarding student entry/exit from program.
14. Monitor and address student behavior in collaboration with District Coordinator and Principal. 
15. Communicate regularly with parents via email, phone and/or during dismissal time.
16. Attend professional development, staff meetings and training workshops as necessary.
17. Assume such other functions as may be determined.
18. Maintain and input accurate TransACT attendance weekly. And ensure all monthly attendance is inputted before the 6^th of every month.
19. Attend all 21^st CCLC networking meetings.
