Performance Evaluation:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Non-Certified Staff

Terms of Employment:  Non-bargaining unit employee.  Pay is on an hourly basis based on experience. This is a part-time position that runs only during the school year.

Primary Function:  Works successfully under the direction of the District Coordinator to safely manage a group of students, plan and deliver age appropriate, hand-on, high quality enrichment activities during the Year-Round breaks. YR breaks are every 6 weeks throughout the year. The camp is 2 weeks long every 6 weeks and runs Monday through Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm. *Hours may vary

Salary: $21.00 an hour

Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
This description of the position of Year-Round Camp Supervision – Out of School Programs is for identification and administrative purposes only. It is not intended to be a complete statement of all duties, which may be assigned or adjusted by the Superintendent of Schools according to varying needs.
1. Managing daily operations of the out-of-school programs and activities at building site including
   • Breakfast, snack and lunch distribution/counts.
   • Student supervision.
   • Student attendance.
   • Development of enrichment activities.
2. Work closely with school administration, staff, and teachers to ensure smooth operation of the program.
3. Create and foster a high-quality program that implements age-appropriate activities and projects to support the school’s magnet pathway and school day learning.
4. Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with students, families, principal, teachers, school staff, and program staff at building site.
5. Attend professional development and training workshops and staff meetings as necessary.
6. Consistently provide a friendly, professional, courteous environment where students and families feel welcome.
7. Respect cultural diversity and create an inclusive, welcoming, and collaborative environment.
8. Submit an accurate time sheet bi-weekly on day indicated to the District Coordinator.
9. Assume such other functions as may be determined. 
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, be self-directed, and problem-solve
• Maturity, responsibility, professionalism, and sincere interest in working with school-aged children
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associates degree
• Experience with school aged children and/or after-school programming and activities
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable
