PRIMARY FUNCTION: Work successfully under the direction of the Site Coordinator to direct, manage, and oversee a classroom that includes supervision of support staff and students. 3. Create and foster a high-quality program that implements age-appropriate activities and projects to support the school’s magnet pathway and school day learning.
4. Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with students, families, principal, teachers, school staff, and program staff at building site.
5. Attend professional development, training workshops and staff meetings as necessary. 6. Respect cultural diversity and create an inclusive, welcoming, and collaborative environment.
7. Submit a daily schedule of enrichment activities to Site Coordinator every 6-8 weeks as directed by Site Coordinator.
8. Submit an accurate time sheet bi-weekly on day indicated to the Site Coordinator.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• NLPS Certified Teacher
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products, including strong skills with Word and Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with out of school programming and activities

The Athletic Trainer provides comprehensive athletic training services to support the physical health and safety of student-athletes. General Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

   • Oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
   • Monitor recovery progress and adapt treatment plans as needed.
   • Educate athletes on injury prevention and proper techniques.

3. Collaboration:

    
   • Work closely with coaches and sports staff to develop injury prevention and conditioning programs.
   • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student-athlete health and injury status.

4. Administrative Duties:

    
   • Maintain accurate and confidential records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation progress.
   • Prepare and manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
   • Ensure compliance with state and national regulations regarding athletic training.

5. Emergency Preparedness:

Qualifications:
 
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Certification: Board of Certification (BOC) Athletic Trainer. Connecticut Licensure.
• Experience: Previous experience in a secondary school setting or with youth athletes is preferred.
• CPR/FA: Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
This description of the position is for identification and administrative purposes only. It is not intended to be a complete statement of all duties, which may be assigned or adjusted by the supervisor according to varying needs. 
 
1. Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, water cooling towers, forced air converter units, pumps, automatic and hand valves, expansion valves and capillary tubes. 
2. Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs, service and repair evaporative coolers.  
3. Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves, and automatic gas valves.  
4. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, test equipment utilized in the trade and a motor vehicle; maintain equipment in effective and safe working condition; maintain parts and tool inventory.  
5. Repair and rebuild semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors and compressors for centrifugal refrigeration machines.  
6. Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, installation and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems as needed; connect motors to control panels. 
7. Test and examine boiler operations, observing meter and pressure gauges; conduct boiler water quality test and treatment; adjust boiler burner combustion.  
8. Lubricate and pack heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning motors, pumps, fans, and other equipment.  
9. Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems; flush boilers, descale tubing; rebuild pressure and temperature safety valves and water pumps.  
10. Install, rebuild, replace, or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, gaskets and other equipment as necessary.  
11. Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required.  
12. Maintain and repair water fountains.
13. Repair and replace plumbing valves, faucets.  
14. Perform other duties as assigned.  
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
• Must have prior experience and possess an HVAC license D-2 or greater.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills .
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment .
• Ability to use power and hand tools .
• Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC system.
• Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Excellent communication skills required to interact with staff, vendors, and customer services.
• High school diploma or equivalent .
• Valid Driver’s License.
 
      Physical Requirements:  
 
• Physically able to work on HVAC units. 
• Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year. 
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders. 
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Primary Function:  To assist teachers in carrying out of routine classroom tasks.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
 
1. Under supervision of licensed teacher, sets up, distributes, and collects instructional materials.
2. Performs various duties related to classroom management and instruction of pupils.
3. Assists teacher with non-instructional classroom duties.
4. Participates in in-service training programs.
5. Performs such other related classroom tasks as the teacher may assign.
6. Follows the rules, guidelines, and regulations of assigned program.

8. Able to enter the water at the beach for direct supervision of students in the water.

• Associates degree, 60 college credits, passed the ParaPro Exam or equivalent.

• Complete the “Handle with Care Training” successfully.
• Physical ability to perform all responsibilities of the position.

3. Select, administer, and interpret a variety of screening instruments and standardized measurement tools. 
4. Design and implement physical therapy intervention that allow students to benefit from their education program and access their educational environment safely. 
5. Measure and document student progress resulting from the designed physical therapy interventions.
6. Teach and train educational personnel to help student achieve his or her IEP goals. 
7. Work with team members to adapt environments to facilitate student access and participation in the general education curriculum. 
8. Support and make recommendations for the safe transport of students. 
9. Serve as a liaison among school, medical personnel and medical equipment vendors. 
10. Collaborate with team members to plan for transition from school to community, preparing student to function independent from therapy services when targeted outcomes are achieved.
