Job Summary:
This position serves as a key leadership role in the custodial department, promoting a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The Assistant Custodial Manager will actively contribute to developing and implementing best practices in custodial operations, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and staff performance across the district. Provide support, guidance, and training for the district wide custodial program. Primary functions will focus on training, employee relations and assisting custodial issues, productivity concerns and projects that affect the custodial department.  Assist Custodial Manager with recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and managing custodial rovers and floaters to provide buildings with additional help. Maintain and update a proactive training program which will include all areas of custodial responsibilities.

Essential Duties, and Responsibilities:
• Inspect and monitor the work of custodial employees performing a variety of diversified custodial duties to ensure compliance with district cleaning and safety standards.
• Assist in identifying potential problems or opportunities for improvement of custodial duties and take appropriate actions.
• Assist continuity of custodial services under emergency conditions or unique circumstances by performing custodial duties directly related to the emergency conditions or as the situation dictates. 
• Performs custodial or other duties as needed or assigned.
• Respond to after hour emergencies and situations.
• Participates in evaluating new materials, equipment, solutions, and devices used in cleaning activities.         
• Ensures that custodial personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform custodial services by issuing supplies as needed, completing request form(s) for replacement items, and storing the supplies and equipment in a secure storage facility.
• Assist in hiring and training custodial personnel.
• Document and record custodial inspections to assist the Custodial Support Manager with the annual performance evaluations.
• Participates in and facilitates ongoing professional development opportunities for custodial staff, including leadership training, career growth programs, and certifications to enhance self and team capabilities.
• Assist the Custodial Manager in managing and maintaining the custodial department’s annual budget, including tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring budget compliance.
• Provides continuity of supervision and leadership by assuming the duties and responsibilities of the Custodial Support Manager as required by absence.
• Assist in reviewing current literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements:
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Education, Training and Experience: 
• High school diploma
• 3-5 years’ experience in custodial and maintenance work, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in budget management, staff development, and custodial program implementation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Bilingual. Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Knowledge of leadership and management principles.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Prior experience in hiring, supervising and remediation of employees.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Ability to train others in procedures and the use of equipment.
• Knowledge of and experience with facility maintenance and custodial standards.
• Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
• Willingness to contribute to cultural diversity for educational enrichment.
• Ability to promote and follow Board of Education, Superintendent, building, and department policies and procedures.

Job Summary:
The Student Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in creating positive and engaging learning opportunities for Thrive HSA students. Responsibilities include developing and managing student engagement initiatives to enhance involvement and participation in various academic and extracurricular activities. Key initiatives involve community-building programs, career exploration, and recruitment. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, strong advocacy for inclusivity, and a passion for fostering a sense of belonging and personal achievement.
The position consists of three primary roles: Recruiting and Onboarding, College and Career Programs, and Extra-Curricular Programs Management. Duties are ongoing throughout the school year and require summer planning and attention.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in providing leadership, in collaboration with Thrive Administration, to provide objectives for student engagement.
• Develop and implement student engagement initiatives, programs, and events to enhance student involvement and participation.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive community by organizing diverse activities that cater to students' interests and passions.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to design and implement engaging and impactful peer mentorship programs.
• Utilize innovative technology platforms to enhance student engagement and communication. Establish and maintain professional, productive relationships with external partners.
• Monitor student participation and evaluate the effectiveness of student engagement programs and activities
• Serve as a resource for students in need of academic, social, or emotional support, connecting them with appropriate services and resources.
• Oversee all facets of student programs including planning, management of resources and partnerships, and ensuring student success.
• Cultivate a positive, welcoming environment for students, parents, staff, and partners through excellent customer service and constructive problem-solving strategies.
• Semi-Annual report and presentation for THSA school board.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or equivalent advanced training in education, business management, or project management.
• Over three years’ experience in student engagement or related role within the education sector.
• Strong project management experience. Proven success managing concurrent projects and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute successful programs and events.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect and engage with diverse student populations.
• Familiarity with innovative technology platforms for student engagement and communication.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development to keep pace with current issues and trends in student engagement, education, technology, and leadership
