Job Summary: 
Assist the Principal in providing leadership and developing and monitoring practices, procedures, and policies for the attainment of school and student achievement goals. Duties include supporting curriculum alignment with content standards; evaluating and monitoring certified and educational support personnel; and supervising and encouraging appropriate student behavior, student success, and/or athletics/activities. Promote strong relations and partnerships among school, parents, students, community, and stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Support curriculum alignment with content standards through teacher observations and/or through curriculum committee work.
• Evaluate, appraise, mentor, monitor, and provide feedback to licensed staff to support planning, instruction, engagement, and assessment.
• Provide leadership for the professional growth of the instructional staff through job embedded professional development, goal development and monitoring, and recommendation and support of educational/training opportunities.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment by monitoring student behavior and assign and enforce clear and consistent consequences.
• Coordinate and attend expulsion hearings as needed.
• Analyze and use student assessment data to drive instruction, make recommendations regarding policy, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support and promote student achievement and progress through student conferences, interventions, and school-based support systems.
• Develop and administer guidelines and procedures for student achievement, growth, and special recognition.
• Implement, administer, and monitor the Response to Intervention (RTI) process.
• May be responsible for supervising and planning athletics/activities to promote well-rounded students.
• Respond to parent, student, stakeholder, and community concerns/questions and promote positive public relations.
• Encourage school/parent/student/community partnerships in providing for the educational needs of the student.
• Evaluate, appraise, mentor, monitor, and provide feedback to educational support personnel, including secretarial, clerical, maintenance, custodial, and/or security personnel. 
• Provide leadership for the professional growth of educational support personnel through in-service programs, goal development and monitoring, and recommendation and support of educational/training opportunities.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, outdoors, on/off the bus, parking lot, and/or during extra-curricular activities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff at all times, including developing, implementing, and instructing others on crisis prevention and procedures; supervising and providing direction for the proper inspection, maintenance, cleanliness, and repair of the buildings and grounds; and planning, organizing, and implementing fire and disaster drills and other emergency procedures.
• Actively participate in professional organizations, committees, and professional development opportunities.
• Assist Principal with hiring licensed, educational support personnel, and co-curricular staff.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Education, Training and Experience: 
• Master's Degree required.
• Valid Colorado Principal License.
• Minimum of four years of experience in teaching. Experience as a building leader preferred.
• Advanced oral and written communication, English language, interpersonal relations, customer service, public relations, critical thinking, problem solving, organizational, and supervisory/management skills. Basic math and accounting skills.
• Strong personal computer, keyboarding, and word processing skills.
• Ability to manage confidentiality in all aspects of job.
• Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and multiple priorities.

Job Summary:
The Drop-Out Prevention Specialist helps students overcome problems that impede learning and to assist them in making educational, occupational, and life plans that hold promise for their personal fulfillment as mature and responsible men and women. Responsible for providing an appropriate PBIS program that will produce student knowledge, skills and attitudes in the educational, career and personal domains. Work with school counselors to increase graduation rate and decrease drop-out rate.

Starting: $18.24+/hr (Compensation will include an additional $1.00/hour for paraprofessionals in these Center Based Special Education programs: Affective Needs, SSN, CSD and TAP)

Job Summary:
Provide instructional support and assistance in meeting the educational needs of students, under the direction and immediate supervision of a licensed school professional. Services provided vary based on Individual Education Plans (IEP) and requirements to provide services in the least restrictive environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support instructional programs and provide instructional assistance for students in individual, small and large group settings. Implement approved modifications and/or accommodations of curriculum. Supervise and facilitate students in the classroom and a variety of settings that may include the lunchroom, playground, field trips, extra-curricular activities, or on-the-job training.
• Help and support students with special needs which may include emotional issues, self-help skills, fine and gross motor, visual, auditory, physical, medical and health needs, educational, prevocational and life skills in a least restrictive environment.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and assist students with problem solving techniques and conflict resolution. Enforces district policies regarding behaviors and discipline to help correct behavioral problems and meet behavioral goals.
• Collaborate and communicate with other special and regular educators and administrators with regard to academic and behavioral issues and observations. Provide suggestions, feedback and support to building staff, administrators, parents and outside agencies regarding effective strategies for facilitating learning.
• Assist the school professional by helping with data collection, updating records and documentation while helping maintain student files and class records. Maintain compliance with confidentiality laws including Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
• Attend and participate in district and building in-service opportunities and committee work.
• (Elementary/K-8) Perform crossing guard duties as assigned by school administration to include attending crossing guard training and direction action of children and traffic at assigned crosswalks in order to ensure safe crossing.
• (Elementary/K-8) Perform lunchroom monitor duties as assigned by school administration to include assisting students with lining up to receive their lunches, helping students open items on their trays, enforcing lunchroom rules, leading students to the lunchroom, dismissing students from the lunchroom, wiping down tables, and assisting with organizing and implementing indoor activities for students during inclement weather.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Training and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Upload/Scan transcripts if applicable.
• 0 – 2 years experience. Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and behavior management is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid preferred.
• Core District Special Education Paraprofessional training or requirements must be acquired within 36 months of hire.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  
• Basic English, writing and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment.
