SALARY RANGE STARTS AT: $155,249 (ANNUAL SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED BY QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, AND LIKE EXPERIENCE) 

Job Summary: 
Ensure the efficient administration and management of all functions to support school and district supports. Serve as a member of the Superintendent’s Executive Team. Responsible for providing leadership and supervision for the Operations, Transportation, Nutrition Services, Technology, Human Resources and Student Support departments. Collaborate with legal counsel and Human Resources to investigate and respond to employee grievances, complaints, lawsuits and represent the District at court hearings as well as serve as the Title IX decision maker and expulsion officer. Plan and facilitate district level committees, including the District Equity Council and support the Director of Operations with Capital Reserve and the Long-Range District Planning Committee. Attend all Board of Education meetings. Responsible for budgeting, hiring, evaluating, planning, and training. Continually promote the District’s Mission and Governing Values.

Essential Duties, and Responsibilities: 
• Provide oversight of all personnel support services departments, including supervision, evaluation, coaching and support for department heads.
• Serve as an integral part of the district executive team, providing guidance and support for school leaders regarding Support Services as well as districtwide initiatives and systems.
• Lead and participate on district committees to include the Collaborative Decision-Making Team, Superintendent’s Advisory Council, Equity Council, Long Range Planning and more.
• In collaboration with legal counsel, address complaints, employee grievances, lawsuits and Title IX claims.
• In collaboration with the Director of Student Support, serve as Expulsion Officer and make recommendations to the Superintendent regarding student discipline and the code of conduct.
• Assure fair and equitable treatment of all staff in compliance with District Policy. Comply with the Board Governance Policies for departments within Support Services.  Oversee the preparation of the monthly
  Board of Education Personnel Enclosure to ensure submission of all personnel actions for Board approval. Recommend to the Superintendent, as necessary, personnel for termination, non-renew, and/or retirement and assist in the required procedural steps.
• Participate in community involvement activities.
• Monitor hiring process compliance within appropriate guidelines and laws. Administer the development of personnel policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  Communicate the policies and regulations of the District to all personnel. Administer District wage and salary/compensation programs for all District employees.
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of statistical information on all personnel and the submission of necessary statistical reports to the State Department and the Board of Education. Comply with state and federal reporting requirements.
• Oversee the student attendance policies and procedures, including the annual accounting procedures.
• Improve the District’s technology infrastructure a nd streamline technology processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
• Valid Colorado Principal/Administrator License.
• Master’s degree plus additional coursework required for certification or licensure.
• Emphasis in education, human resources or organizational leadership preferred.
• Three to five years’ experience in School/District Leadership or Organizational Leadership.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaker preferred.
• Advanced oral and written communication, English language, interpersonal relations, math, budget/accounting, customer service, public relations, critical thinking, problem solving, organizational, and supervisory/management skills.
• Intermediate personal computer, keyboarding, and word processing skills.
• Knowledge of effecting positive change in a complex organization; organizational issues involved in effecting systemic change; facilitating large scale reform initiatives; using data to identify and implement scientifically reliable and valid intervention strategies for improving student response to instruction; and using a variety of instructional strategies, such as differentiated learning, to meet the needs of all learners.
• Ability to manage confidentiality in all aspects of job.
• Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and multiple priorities.
• Ability and willingness to carry a district cell phone, be on call, and/or respond to calls 24/7.
• Ability to promote and follow Board of Education, Superintendent, building, and department policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
• Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
