    Job Summary:
    Recommend, install, maintain, modify, operate, and repair commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Perform annual maintenance on all District HVAC equipment. Perform regular facilities safety
      inspections.
    • Investigate and analyze problems with pneumatic, electric, and direct digital controls.
    • Maintain all District heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment and systems. Perform
      emergency repairs as needed.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all District HVAC
      equipment and systems.
    • Perform electrical repairs on motors and controls used in HVAC systems.
    • Maintain, inspect, analyze, and repair flame safeguard systems on boilers and roof-mounted gas
      fired heating equipment.
    • Install upgrades to equipment and systems to maximize efficiency and safety.
    • Cut, bend, thread, ream, assemble, caulk, solder, and weld various pipes, metal fittings, and joints.
    • Inspect, supervise, and approve contract work to ensure compliance with building codes, safety
      codes, and accepted industry practices.
    • Recommend and support equipment and supply purchases.
    • Coordinate projects with other trades.
    • Replace pump seals, motors, tube bundles, etc.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent, plus post-secondary courses equivalent to one year of college in HVAC repair and maintenance.
    • Over three years experience in HVAC repair and maintenance.
    • Knowledge of pneumatic controls, refrigerants, and EPA regulations. 
    • Ability to operate various types of power tools, equipment, and test instruments required at hire.
    • Valid Colorado driver’s license, Regional Building Code Mechanics IV license, and EPA Refrigerant Handling certification all required at hire.
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. 
    • Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
