    Enrichment Instructor
    Reports to:  Director of WorkspaceCT
    Part Time, Academic year, Class time TBD, mostly afternoons/evenings
    Non-Exempt
    WorkspaceCT, Bethel CT
    $20-$35 per hour
    Position is open until filled / Anticipated start date is Fall 2024


    Job Description: EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to provide general interest enrichment classes for WorkspaceCT in Bethel, CT.  The qualified candidate will be professional, organized, and able to work independently. Enrichment Instructors offer a wide variety of short term course in arts & crafts, computers, finance, home improvement, languages, music & dance, personal development, and recreation & leisure.

    Job Summary:  Present class sessions in their area of specialty in person for the general public- adults or children.  Prepare appropriate materials and experiences. 

    Major Responsibilities:
    • Deliver the class in-person at the dates and times mutually agreed upon
    • Start and end class on time
    • All other duties requested by Director
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Training or experience appropriate for class content
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of Zoom or other online platforms if using remote delivery
    Qualifications
    • Applicants will submit a complete course proposal including short biography that demonstrates experience and expertise in their subject area. 
    • Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Working Conditions:  Classes are held at WorkspaceCT in classrooms designated by the Director. Necessary technology will be supplied on request. Instructors may require the purchase of texts or other materials by customers.

    Selection Procedure:  Interested instructors need to complete a Course Proposal application which is reviewed by the Director.  New courses must be approved by the Director.
