The
Office of Public Safety is seeking motivated
Crowd Control Specialists. The successful candidate will ensure the flow of stakeholders in a school setting by monitoring stadium or arena activity and undertaking necessary precautions vital to the protection of the staff and students to preserve an environment suitable for the education process.
Salary Grade/Schedule: PT2000
Salary Schedules: Part-Time $20.00

Title: Crowd Control Specialist
Plan and deliver educational instruction to diverse learners, including those with special needs, in line with state and district standards, and create a safe, engaging learning environment that promotes academic success, physical fitness, and life skills for global citizenship. Perform work independently under moderate supervision, applying foundational knowledge to perform the job effectively.
Essential Job Duties: Promptly address incidents, altercations, or any issues within the venue that may compromise guest safety.
Immediately report any unusual activities or potential safety concerns to the On-Duty Supervisor.
Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including incident and misconduct reports.
Monitor venue grounds and entrances to ensure access is granted only to authorized personnel and visitors; at the main entrance, ensure that all guests adhere to the entry screening procedures.
Lead initiatives to de-escalate inappropriate behavior effectively.
Prioritize the maintenance of a calm, structured, and positive environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate’s degree or equivalent completed college coursework from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university preferred
Minimum two (2) years working with students, or the public required
Previous experience working with security issues, safety concerns, and/or social work with high-risk students preferred. Ability to demonstrate the level of proficiency necessary to perform the duties of the specified position.
