CJCP first opened in 2006 with 77 students, now serving over 1,400 students with about 250 faculty and staff. Art Teacher
 
Responsibilities Include: 
 
• Deliver comprehensive Art education to students, fostering creativity, fostering creativity, and developing artistic skills. 

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that introduce students to various art forms, techniques, and art history that align with New Jersey learning standards. 

• Regularly assess student progress through assignments, projects, and observations, providing feedback to support artistic development. 

• Establish and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment that encourages creativity and active participation.

• Manage art materials and resources to ensure they’re properly used and maintained.

• Organize and engage in extracurricular activities like field trips to art museums, contests, art exhibitions to enhance students’ appreciation and exposure to art outside of the classroom.

• Engage in ongoing professional growth opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum developments in art education. 
 
Essential Duties:
 
• Communicates responsibly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership;
 
• Accounts for student attendance and punctuality;
 
• Follows all county, state, and federal policies and procedures;
 
• Follows professional ethics in all work-related activities;
 
 
 
Additional Responsibilities:
 
• Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent;
 
• Facilitates home-school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communication;
 
• Integrates appropriate technology into classroom instruction;
 
• Avoids behaviors which detract from staff morale;
 
• Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
