  •   PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
    To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.
                                       
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1.  Educational Requirements:
    A minimum of twenty (20) credits from an accredited college/university
            -OR-
    Related experience in an educational setting with a high school diploma.

    2.  Possess Skills and Knowledge: Effective communication skills.  Able to work with a wide range of students; able
    to work effectively with the staff and administration.
     
    SALARY BENEFITS:         $ 110 for a whole day (sub permit) / $120 for a whole day (if you possess a valid Indiana teaching license)
                                                $ 55 for a half day (sub permit) / $60 for a half day (if you possess a valid Indiana teaching license)
                                                
    *Any substitute teacher who completes twelve (12) or more full day equivalent assignments during the course of a calendar month will receive an additional $10 a day compensation for those assignments. This bonus would be paid in lump sum at the end of the month on the next available pay check.

    Getting Started: The first step to becoming a substitute teacher is to complete the online application. If you meet the requirements, you will be contacted by a representative from HR. If you are selected, you will be required to complete a Criminal History Check and apply for Substitute Permit. Upon completion, you will be brought in for a new hire orientation and will be added to our substitute list. Please do not apply for your substitute permit until the HR Department contacts you.  It will not be approved until all documents are completed through the HR Department.
