District Summer School Administrator/Coordinator
 
Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and dynamic individual for the position of District Summer School Administrator/Coordinator. This role will be instrumental in overseeing and coordinating our district-wide summer school programs, ensuring effective planning, data-driven instruction, and successful outcomes for students. It is preferred that the candidate have an active principal license and is bilingual.  The program runs from June 1-June 28, 2025.  There will be required trainings in April and May.  The salary for this position will be a $5,000 stipend.  
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
1. Program Leadership:
   • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of district-wide summer school programs in collaboration with instructional staff.
   • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the overall success and effectiveness of the summer school initiatives.
2. Data-Driven Planning:
   • Facilitate teacher planning sessions, utilizing literacy and math data to inform instructional decisions and adjust lessons.
   • Collaborate with teachers to analyze student performance data, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted intervention strategies.
3. Curriculum Oversight:
   • Ensure the alignment of summer school curriculum with district standards and educational goals.
   • Work closely with instructional staff to integrate data-driven insights into the design and delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
4. Technology Proficiency:
   • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing iReady and Lexia data and dashboards to inform instructional decision-making.
   • Provide training and support to teachers on the effective use of educational technology tools.
5. Professional Development:
   • Plan and conduct professional development sessions for summer school staff to enhance their understanding of data-driven instruction, iReady, Lexia, and best practices in teaching.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Collaborate with teachers and district administrators to ensure alignment of summer school initiatives with district goals.
   • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on program progress, challenges, and successes.
 
Requirements:
 
1. Educational Background:
   • Active Principal's License or pursuing a license
2. Experience:
   • Minimum of 7 years of experience in educational leadership.
   • Successful track record in facilitating teacher planning using literacy and math data.
3. Data Literacy:
   • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data to inform instructional decisions.
   • Knowledge of iReady and Lexia data and dashboards.
4. Leadership Skills:
   • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
5. Communication Skills:
   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Overview:
Sheridan School District No. 2 is seeking a dedicated and highly effective Dean of Instruction for Fort Logan Northgate (Grades 4-8). This role will be a key part of the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) and will work in close collaboration with the Principal , team leads, and Student Success Coordinators to drive high-quality instruction, support student behavior, and ensure data-driven decision-making. The Dean of Instruction will provide instructional coaching, professional development, and logistical support to create a thriving academic environment for both students and teachers.  Pay is based on the licensed salary schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership & Teacher Support
• Lead instructional improvement efforts aligned with the Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) to accelerate student achievement.
• Provide targeted instructional coaching to teachers, modeling best practices in lesson planning, classroom instruction, and differentiation.
• Develop and facilitate job-embedded professional development aligned with student needs and instructional priorities.
• Supervise and support team leads and teacher leaders, ensuring strong implementation of instructional practices.
• Identify and develop model classrooms for teachers to observe effective instruction by content area.
• Implement culturally responsive teaching strategies to support the diverse student population at Fort Logan Northgate.
Assessment & Data-Driven Decision Making
• Oversee the implementation of school-wide assessment practices, ensuring teachers analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Support teachers in utilizing formative and summative assessment data to tailor instruction and intervention strategies.
• Facilitate data team meetings, ensuring that instructional decisions are informed by student performance trends.
• Work collaboratively with the ILT to design and implement targeted intervention plans based on assessment data.
Behavior Support & Student Success Collaboration
• Work in partnership with Student Success Coordinators to align behavior expectations with instructional goals.
• Support teachers with classroom management strategies, restorative practices, and behavior intervention techniques.
• Assist in developing and implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to create a positive school climate.
• Provide guidance on handling behavioral challenges while maintaining an academic focus.
Logistics & Operational Support
• Collaborate with school leadership to develop master schedules that maximize instructional time and intervention support.
• Oversee logistics related to instructional resources, curriculum materials, and technology to ensure equitable access.
• Coordinate teacher coverage, professional learning schedules, and collaboration meetings.
• Ensure compliance with state and district policies related to curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices.
Collaboration & Communication
• Maintain regular communication with teachers, students, families, and district leadership regarding instructional priorities and student progress.
• Serve as a liaison between Fort Logan Northgate and Sheridan School District No. 2, ensuring alignment with district-wide initiatives.
• Partner with school counselors and administrators to address barriers to student success and engagement.

Qualifications
Education & Certification Requirements:
• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Education Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field
• Required: Valid Colorado Teaching License
• Preferred: Administrative certification or eligibility preferred
Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of 3+ years of successful teaching experience in an urban school environment.
• Demonstrated experience coaching teachers and leading professional development.
• Experience working with English Language Learners and students with diverse academic needs.
• Familiarity with data-driven instructional practices and formative assessment strategies.
• Strong background in classroom management, behavior intervention, and restorative practices.
