District Summer School Administrator/Coordinator
Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and dynamic individual for the position of District Summer School Administrator/Coordinator. This role will be instrumental in overseeing and coordinating our district-wide summer school programs, ensuring effective planning, data-driven instruction, and successful outcomes for students. It is preferred that the candidate have an active principal license and is bilingual. The program runs from June 1-June 28, 2025. There will be required trainings in April and May. The salary for this position will be a $5,000 stipend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of district-wide summer school programs in collaboration with instructional staff.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the overall success and effectiveness of the summer school initiatives.
- Data-Driven Planning:
- Facilitate teacher planning sessions, utilizing literacy and math data to inform instructional decisions and adjust lessons.
- Collaborate with teachers to analyze student performance data, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted intervention strategies.
- Curriculum Oversight:
- Ensure the alignment of summer school curriculum with district standards and educational goals.
- Work closely with instructional staff to integrate data-driven insights into the design and delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
- Technology Proficiency:
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing iReady and Lexia data and dashboards to inform instructional decision-making.
- Provide training and support to teachers on the effective use of educational technology tools.
- Professional Development:
- Plan and conduct professional development sessions for summer school staff to enhance their understanding of data-driven instruction, iReady, Lexia, and best practices in teaching.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with teachers and district administrators to ensure alignment of summer school initiatives with district goals.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on program progress, challenges, and successes.
Requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Active Principal's License or pursuing a license
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in educational leadership.
- Successful track record in facilitating teacher planning using literacy and math data.
- Data Literacy:
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data to inform instructional decisions.
- Knowledge of iReady and Lexia data and dashboards.
- Leadership Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
