Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and dynamic individual for the position of District Summer School Administrator/Coordinator. This role will be instrumental in overseeing and coordinating our district-wide summer school programs, ensuring effective planning, data-driven instruction, and successful outcomes for students. Key Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY: Support and oversee all aspects of the Expelled and At-Risk Student Services EARSS)  Grant.  Coordinate the full lifecycle of this 4.5 year grant from planning, implementation, performance/monitoring, and closure through the end of the 2027-2028 school year in alignment with grant requirements and district priorities.  The Grant Manager will utilize a growth mindset to successfully cultivate relationships, foster collaboration, and support a culture of trust with all stakeholders. Hire and lead a team of up to four (4) staff members to implement all aspects of the grant.  Provide clear communication to all stakeholders of grant objectives, rules and regulations, allowable expenses, and timelines.  

EARSS Grant Executive Summary: 
The purpose of SSD's EARSS Grant is to provide targeted support and interventions for approximately 260 secondary students (approximately 20% of students) in Sheridan School District who are struggling academically due to habitual absenteeism, or from behaviors and social emotional functioning that resulted in out-of-school suspension or expulsion. This grant will provide resources to address the three identified goals, and help the students served by the grant to graduate and be college and career ready.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
• Collaborate with school and district leaders to achieve the objectives of the grant
• Monitors application and reporting timelines and communicates them interdepartmentally to ensure full compliance with funder  requirements and deadlines

• Lead a team of Student Support Coordinators at three secondary schools to implement strategies aligned with the grant's objective

Instructional Planning:

Direct Instruction:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Familiarity with the Wonders curriculum and its effective implementation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• The Special Education Teacher shall hold a valid Colorado license with approved endorsement as a teacher of the category of handicap being taught.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required from an accredited university or college.
• Completed a state approved Teacher Preparation Program, participation in a Teacher in Resident Program or participation in an Alternative Teacher License program.
• Demonstrates competency by one of the following means:
  • Pass the Praxis test.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions required the following physical demands:  some lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling: and signification fine finger dexterity.  Generally, the job requires sitting, walking, and standing.  This job is performed in generally a clean and healthy environment.
 
CLEARANCES:
Must clear background check through the CBI and the FBI through Fingerprint submission.

SALARY:
Placement on Licensed Salary Schedule based upon previous teaching experience and highest degree and college credits earned after student teaching was completed. Current Board approved Licensed Teacher Salary Schedule, Salary Placement Policy, and Master Agreement are available for review on our district website at www.ssd2.org.  Highest initial step placement on the Licensed Salary Schedule is Step 9.

All employees are required by state statute to contribute 11%,  The District contributes 21%.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Dispatcher (Transportation) maintains schedule, dispatches system for buses and coordinates departure and arrival accurately in a timely manner and in accordance with school and trip schedules. Position is evaluated by Transportation with day-to-day functional oversight by transportation supervisor.
            
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Dispatches busses on various routes based on school schedule. • Maintains and updates dispatch system. • Monitors time and attendance records and maintains timesheets. • Enters data via computer and hand written to complete necessary reports. • Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative.
 
           
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Written and oral communication. • Ability to multitask in a fast paced work. environment, meet deadlines. • People oriented. • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to learn/use computerized routing and GPSIL software.
