JOB DESCRIPTION: The extended care assistant helps to create a positive, energetic, engaging, and safe Extended Care environment for our school community.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
• Loves working with kids

• A warm and friendly personality, sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and relates well to students

• At least eighteen (18) years of age

• Clear a Washington State Background Check

• Complete the Archdiocesan Safe Environment Training
 
PRIMARY DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
 
1. Helps to plan a variety of activities

2. Creates a fun and engaging environment for students

3. Helps with the general housekeeping tasks

4. Interacts in a professional manner and attitude with students and families

5. Treats all students with dignity and respect

6. Maintains a neat and organized space

7. Supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times

8. Works with other staff members to form a positive and supportive team atmosphere

9. Communicates as needed with parents in the absence of the director
   

    

   Work Schedule:
   This position requires presence in the school  after school hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday 2:15 PM - 6:00 PM. If available, additional hours on about 8 Wednesday noon dismissals/year 11:45 AM - PM - 6:00 PM.

    

   Hourly wage:
   $24-27/hour Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

    

   Benefits:
   This position is not benefit eligible.
