Position to begin: August, 2025
Job Description: 1.0 FTE position reporting to the principal to work as the 1st grade general education teacher. The teacher would be responsible for instruction and assessment in the core subjects of Math, Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies and Religion while fostering a positive classroom community. The ideal candidate has experience teaching elementary school, is organized, engaging and aware of how to support diverse learners in a classroom setting.
Qualifications:
-Washington State Certificate (elementary) (required)
-Experience teaching at the elementary, K-5, level (required)
-Catholic (preferred)
-MA or equivalent (preferred)
-Demonstrates a solid understanding of Common Core Standards
-Ability to communicate with students, parents and the school community
-Desire to be part of an elementary school team
Job Responsibilities:
-Oversee teaching responsibilities for 1st grade and other responsibilities as determined and assigned by the Principal and Vice Principal
-Synthesize data to support academic growth
-Effectively communicate academic growth and progress with parents and administrators
-Scaffold learning to support students reaching and exceeding grade level benchmarks, Common Core Standards and Archdiocesan religion standards
-Work within a Professional Learning Community to support school and student growth
-Oversee the 1st grade classroom community including social emotional learning growth and support
-Participate in school and Archdiocesan professional development as determined by the principal and vice principal
-Adhere to all school and Archdiocesan policies

Compensation: $64,109-$114,527 for a 1.0 FTE Certificated teacher in the State of Washington. Any offered salary is determined based on a predetermined salary schedule, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees and certification. For staff at a .75 FTE or above, a comprehensive benefits package will be offered including two medical plan options, dental, vision, life, accidental death and disability, pension 403 (b), HSA, FSA, sick leave, vacation, holidays and tuition discounts for dependents attending Holy Rosary School.
