This is a full-time 1.0 FTE teaching position within the Science Department. The successful candidate can teach multiple science classes and, ideally, has a background in both Biology and Chemistry. The specific teaching assignment is still to be determined based on the master schedule and the candidate's background. This will include Biology and AP Biology OR General Chemistry and Biology. Familiarity with teaching high school science on a block schedule is beneficial but not required. In your cover letter, please describe how you will support the mission of Archbishop Murphy High School.

Qualifications:
• B.A. (or higher) in science or a related field, with a specific background in biology and chemistry.
• A current Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement (or the ability to obtain an endorsement) in Science Education is strongly preferred.
 Salary:  The range is $54,929 - $111,193. Dependent upon applicable education and experience. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, and the applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

The Sports Medicine Director will work under the supervision of the Athletic Director and Wellness Director and will be an integral part of the athletic team at AMHS.
 
The Sports Medicine Director will be responsible for providing injury prevention and physical assessments on site to athletes at AMHS. The trainer will be responsible for providing injury prevention and physical assessments on-site to AMHS athletes. Any additional hours available during the week will be devoted to substitute teaching, assisting in the lunch room, and evening security.  Summer time would include assisting with Strength and Conditioning program.
 
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Athletic Training
Under the supervision of the Wellness Director & Athletic Director, this position provides injury prevention and physical assessments on site to athletes.
• The Sports Medicine Director will work with referring physicians, physical therapists, and medical partners as set forth by the NATA Board of Certification.
• Demonstrate proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of support or athletic equipment.
• Perform or prescribe treatment, and reconditioning.
• Perform early evaluation, triage, CPR/First Aid, and AED services.
• Will attend related events as deemed necessary by the Sports Performance Manager & Athletic Director.
• Carry out all prescribed treatments and recommendations from the patient’s physician.
• Provide referrals to specific physicians and other allied health professionals.
• Work with the strength and conditioning, nutrition, wellness, physical therapy, and team physicians to ensure safety in designing and implementing fitness, nutrition, preventative, and conditioning programs customized to meet individual needs where applicable.
• Assist with the Sports Medicine Club and the future construction of a Sports Medicine class as a part of the AMHS Health Studies Program.
• Compile injury and treatment statistics for the programs for assigned sports in the database.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the President and/or Principal.
 Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in athletic training or related field;
• In process and eligible for becoming licensed in Washington State;
• Certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC);
• Demonstrate practical oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills;
• The ability to work with electronic medical record-keeping systems and other computer databases;
• Ability to work under pressure has time management skills, and can multitask;
• Demonstrate they are an active, collaborative team member;
• Experience prescribing and leading rehabilitation exercises in a one-on-one team setting.
Physical Requirements:
• Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, and moving equipment/boxes up to 50 lbs
• Medium strength is required to position patients for examination.
• May assist patients as needed, helping them on and off the exam table.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to visually monitor athletes. 
 
Salary: Range: $55,000 - 65,000 per year. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. .

The evening Facilities Custodial Associate is responsible for proper stewardship of the school's buildings, equipment, and grounds. This position reports to the Facilities Supervisor.

Custodial Responsibilities:
• Performs routine custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies: clean debris and waste from clogged drains and toilets.
• Vacuum and spot-wash carpets as needed.
• Clean and wax floors. Operate mechanical cleaners, polishers, or other floor care equipment.
• Dust all surfaces and clean the wall air intakes, outlets, light fixtures, sills, and ledges. Change air filters and cleaning vents.
• Wash windows. Remove fingerprints and clean partition glass and doors.
• Empty trash receptacles, dispose of trash into compactors and dumpsters, and bag trash for proper disposal. Remove recyclable material and garbage from receptacles and keep receptacles clean and odor-free.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Secure all doors, windows, and exterior doors. Turn off any lights left on in the classroom, gym, and hallways.
• May assist or perform minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, and other similar activities and light groundwork.
• Assist in squeegeeing/mopping up liquids and drinks spills in the area.
• Organize and maintain inventories of all paper, cleaning supplies, storage, and equipment areas.
• Perform cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities based on seasonal/project requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
• Secure front gate upon exit.
