Summer Remediation Teacher for Summer 2025 (Gr. 9-12) - Rolling interviews until filled
What is Summer Remediation?
The North Penn School District is offering summer remediation for students in grades 9-12 who have earned an “E” (eligible) in a credit-bearing course. Students will have the opportunity to remediate the skills and knowledge from any course they earned an “E” in to attain credit. The course spans five (5) weeks of an online instruction, through Edgenuity and in-person support.
Who do we Need: We are looking for certified teachers to teach the Summer Remediation program! All staff PDE certified to teach grades 7-8/9-12 (Math, Social Studies, English, Health/PE, Biology, Chemistry, General Science)
What: Summer Remediation teacher positions are available to PDE-certified teachers to work virtually and in-person with students. The work includes aligning the Edgenuity course to the NPHS summer course, disseminating syllabi to students, making contact with each student prior to the start of class, administering and grading the pre-test (personalized tailoring), monitoring student progress daily, contacting students who fall below a 60% to require in-person support (duration of required support), communicating with parents and provide in-person support at least one day per week.
When: Summer Remediation is Monday - Thursday (Fridays closed) on the following dates and times: Summer of 2025
- Week 1*: June 30, July 1, 2, 3
- *(each day this week is in-person for student orientation/prescriptive-testing)
- Week 2: July 7, 8, 9, 10
- Week 3: July 14, 15, 16, 17
- Week 4: July 21, 22, 23, 24
- Week 5: July 28, 29, 30, 31*
- *Thursday, July 31, 2025, is the last day of in-person/virtual support
- Week 5 Close-Out: Friday, 8/1/25 (virtual) to close out courses and finalize grades
Where: Online and 12 hours of in-person support at NPHS.
