    REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF IT INFRASTRUCTURE

     

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     
    • Provide Tier 2 support for elevated issues raised by management or other technology support staff responding to help desk tickets or other technology issues.

    • Work closely with the Network Manager to assist with day to day support of network appliances, network and end-user device security, server administration, and Active Directory and Google Admin management.

    • Coordinate with Network Manager and Technology Directors to complete assigned projects and tasks.

    • Work after/before school hours as needed to respond to critical issues and/or address maintenance activities that cannot be conducted during school hours.

    • Provide support for MSD’s desktops, laptops and peripherals for Administration and Education use by performing:

     
    • Provide own transportation to all district facilities on demand.

    • Hardware analysis and replacement both in office and out in the field.

    • Software installations both in office and out in the field.

    • Troubleshoot network connectivity.

    • Maintain and troubleshoot printers and scanners.

    • Maintain infrastructure: switches, wiring, and all other technology hardware.

    • Splice and install Ethernet wiring in the district.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     
    • Perform responsibilities with accuracy, efficiency and professionalism at ALL times.

    • 5+ years of experience as a Computer Technician in a large environment.

    • Strong working knowledge of Current Versions of Windows OS, Mac OS & iOS, Microsoft Office & 365 and Google Apps for Education.  Certification(s) preferred.

    • Advanced PC & MAC hardware and software troubleshooting skills are a must.

    • Familiarity with the public-school system and custom software is a plus.

    • High School diploma required.  Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or other technical school degree preferred.

    • Cisco Network certification(s) or similar required. Security specific certifications are a plus.

    • Scripting and programming skills are a plus.  E.g., HTML5 or PowerShell

    • Server and Active Directory certifications preferred.

     

    CONTRACT TERMS:

     

     

     

    12- Months, full time (Monday-Friday- School Work Day/Hours)
