DESCRIPTION:
The position will support the district’s special education PK program (PRIDE) which requires a variety of clerical functions that will require the application of judgment and the interpretation of policies and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for PRIDE special education paperwork, managing and submitting special transportation needs for PRIDE students, parent contact in connection with scheduled appointments, follow-up on PRIDE student attendance issues, and other office duties as needed. The 15 days before school starts will be spent working at Central Registration will be for 7 hours per day. The last five working days after the school year ends will be at Hanover for 6 hours per day. The PRIDE Secretary II is responsible for the ESY Program that runs, this school year, from June 30 to August 1, 2025, 5 hours per day, 25 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be able to perform a variety of clerical functions and multi-task in a busy working environment. Preference will be given to applicants who can communicate effectively, provide courteous and efficient telephone manners, and have strong computer skills. An applicant with proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
SALARY:
Per Diem with Benefits for the 2024-2025 school year $20.08/hr.
Starting 2025-2026 the rate of pay will be based off the Salary Schedule per the MFES Contract - please note – School Year position salaries are calculated at the rate of pay per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked in a school year. That amount is divided by 52 weeks. This allows for School Year staff to be paid all throughout the summer and school vacations.
