Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full-time Instructional Coach, beginning with the 2025-26 school year at Palmer Lake Elementary School. Must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRE THE ABILITY TO:
Assist teachers in a collaborative model of observation, conversation, and lesson demonstration, to analyze and reflect on instructional practices to promote student learning outcomes.
Model a strong knowledge of pedagogy by demonstrating effective instructional practices with students, including the use of literacy strategies across the curriculum, instructional technology and differentiated instruction.
Provide on-going individualized, classroom-based coaching with teachers to support them in implementing best instructional practices.
Provide leadership for the development, facilitation and continuous improvement of the district’s new teacher induction program.
Facilitate professional learning communities among teachers to support intentional planning for the implementation of effective content instruction, standards-based and research-based instructional practices, engaging lessons and assessment of student learning to inform instruction.
Provide on-going professional development for staff (conduct workshops and training sessions) to increase teacher effectiveness in implementing best-instructional practices, literacy strategies across content and instructional technology use and integration.
Participate in professional organizations, conferences and training to stay abreast of current trends and research.
Provide on-going and embedded support for teachers to enhance instructional practices including the incorporation of literacy strategies.
Serve as an integral member of the education services team and work collaboratively with other district and school-based instructional coaches and district and building leaders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience (secondary-level classroom experience preferred), demonstrated knowledge of state and national standards, deep knowledge of research-based instructional practices to improve student learning. Master’s degree preferred but not required.
CREDENTIAL: Must have a valid Colorado teaching license.

Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 17 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 18, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. This position is eligible for a $2,000 bonus- $1000 to be paid in September and $1000 paid in March 2026 paycheck.
Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance.
