Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a special education paraprofessional beginning with the 2023-24 school year. Must be willing and able to work with student with severe needs in the Severe Needs Program at our Middle School. Must be willing and able to support students with a variety of special needs. Must be a flexible team player and have the genuine desire to work with middle school ages. Must be able to assist in small group activities or work one-on-one to follow the educational support plans for the students.
This is a part-time position, working on all student contact days plus three professional development days determined by the principal. The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.66/hr-$20.17/hr depending on previous experience. A higher starting wage rate may be granted to applicants who hold one of the following: a current Colorado educator's license, bachelor’s degree, RBT certification, CNA license or RMA/CMA certificate. The start date for this position is August 14, 2023 or as soon as a candidate can be hired. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. This position will remain open until filled.
*This position is eligible for a $1,000 bonus- $500 to be paid after 90 days and $500 paid in the April 2024 paycheck.
