  •   Essential Functions
    • Assesses malfunctions of computer hardware and/or software applications (e.g. computer freeze-ups, power supply going out, application not opening, etc.) for the purpose of determining appropriate actions to maintain computer and network operations.
    • Attends meetings as assigned (e.g. staff meetings on project roll-outs, software upgrades/updates, changes in hardware support, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
    • Cleans work areas (e.g. communications closets, hardware installation, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a clean and useful environment.
    • Installs a wide variety of computer-related system (e.g. computer hardware, peripherals, application software, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining safe and effective district and site operation including classrooms, library and computer labs.
    • Prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. work order reports, inventory control, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
    • Procures equipment, supplies, and materials (e.g. cabling, software patches, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items and completing jobs efficiently.
    • Repairs a variety of equipment (e.g. computers, peripherals, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining computer equipment in a safe and functional operating condition.
    • Requests quotations (e.g. new equipment, software upgrades, etc.) for the purpose of providing cost information, purchasing and securing items.
    • Researches computer-related information (e.g. software applications, up-to-date fixes, emerging trends in equipment used in education, etc.) for the purpose of recommending standardized applications in accordance with the district's technology goals.
    • Responds to a variety of inquiries from staff and students (e.g. better ways to use a system, upgrades to systems, etc.) for the purpose of providing information, guidance, or referral.
    • Supports assigned projects and programs (e.g. spam filtering, web security, computer lab support, data integrity, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring security and functionality of district supported software.
    • Transports a variety of items (e.g. equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of providing materials at job site or to bring equipment in for repairs.
    • Upgrades a variety of systems (e.g. computers, peripherals, software applications, etc.) for the purpose of meeting the computer processing needs of the users.
    • Warehouses a variety of computer-related equipment (e.g. computer parts, supplies, materials, etc.) for the purpose of establishing an inventory of items commonly required to repair computer hardware.
     
     
    Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
    Education: Community college and/or vocational school degree with study in job-related area.
    Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability, IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
    Salary: $23.06
    244 Days Position.
