Performs routine vehicle maintenance program (e.g. oil change, tire rotation, break check, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining vehicles in a safe operating condition and meeting mandated requirements.
Prepares written materials (e.g. repair and maintenance logs, parts lists, warranty claims, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and meeting mandated requirements.
Repairs a variety of vehicles and components (e.g. buses, vans, trucks lawn mowers, tractors, diesel/gasoline engines, transmissions, differentials, clutches, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of vehicles in safe operating condition.
Secures bus yard/shop (e.g. doors, gates, etc.) for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss and/or potential liability.

Experience: Job related experience is required.
Education: Targeted, job related education with study in job-related area.
Certificates and Licenses: ASE Certification in Specialized Area, Bus driver Certificate, Driver’s License CDL & Evidence of Insurability, Passenger& SP Endorsement, DMV Physical Certification.

Prepares reports (e.g. mileage, behavior reports, student counts, maintenance records, work orders, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, conveying information, and/or complying with established guidelines.
