East Farms Elementary School is looking for a Special Education Teacher FTE 1.0 beginning August 2025.
General Description:
An elementary special education teacher provides individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities, developing and implementing IEPs, assessing progress, and collaborating with other educators and parents to ensure students receive appropriate educational services.
Qualifications: Must be eligible for State of CT certification in Special Education (065,165)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field, and state certification.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of special education principles, practices, and laws.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience: Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Other: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and professionals
Salary: $55,018- $111,829 salary based upon education and experience; part time positions are pro-rated
