General Description:
The school nurse implements Board of Education policy and regulations related to health. This position is responsible for instructing and assisting students in maintaining good physical, mental, and social health. The role of the School Nurse was created for the purpose(s) of supporting school staff in assessing the health needs of students, developing emergency care plans and individual health plans. Complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care of ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; providing health information and serving as a resource to parents, guardians, teachers, staff, and administrators; and identifying health problems for referral for proper treatment.

Starting Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: One hundred eighty (180) school days and four (4) preparatory days prior to the official opening day of school. Nurse : seven (7) hours per day
Salary: Nurse’s salary scale starting at $55,412 commensurate with experience
