POSITION: Payroll Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS: The Payroll Specialist position is an executive level position and requires a high level of skill and competence.
High School diploma, two years college or business school or equivalent preferred.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff, administrators, vendors, government agencies and school office personnel concerning payroll/benefits information.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines
Experience with computerized finance / payroll software (NJ schools preferred)
Experience with MS Office and Google Suite, (experience with ALIO software preferred)
Precision in data entry with superior attention to accuracy and detail
Knowledge of federal and state taxation laws, state pensions and other employee deductions
Working knowledge of all pension related information/both TPAF and PERS
Knowledge of state auditing procedures
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO: School Business Administrator/Board Secretary
CONTRACT SCHOOL YEAR: 12 month position available April 28, 2025
SALARY: Commensurate with skill set and experience
BENEFITS: Benefits package after completion of successful sixty (60) day probationary period.
