JOB SUMMARY:
The Dougherty County School System is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Georgia Learning Resources System Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role performing a variety of administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Diploma in Business Office Technology or equivalent;
2. Two years of clerical experience in a school office or related setting; 
3. Experience in working with sensitive information;
4. Experience in Microsoft and Google Suites;

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance;
2. Manages scheduling for the Teacher Resource Center and monitor Center usage;
3. Manages bank accounts, including submitting required paperwork, reconciling accounts, etc.
4. Manages the contract process, including approval of vendors, writing, sending out, and monitoring receipt of consultant/vendor contracts, and submitting paperwork to the appropriate departments for approval;
5. Manages event registration forms, correspond with registrants, and send out event reminders;
6. Assists with planning and preparing for GLRS event;
7. Assists with breakdown and cleanup of conference rooms following event;
8. Updates electronic participant data following each GLRS event;
9. Collects and maintains office records in an organized manner that facilitates easy access for other GLRS staff;
10. Manages inventory of materials, supplies, snacks, etc. and initiates the process of replacing/replenishing as needed;
11. Submits work orders on behalf of GLRS;
12. Manages information coming into GLRS, including phone calls, interoffice mail, guests, etc;
13. Performs other such duties assigned by the Supervisor.

REPORTS TO: Director of GLRS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Specialist (Ed.S.) or Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) degree in School Psychology from an accredited program;
2. Must hold or be eligible for certification by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) in School Psychology;
3. Experience working in a K-12 educational setting is preferred;
4. Meeting the Special Georgia Requirements applicable to the field of School Psychology;

3. Applies ethics and standards of professional practice in the delivery of school psychological services and observes relevant laws and policies that govern practice;
4. Consult with parents, teachers, and other appropriate staff regarding the child’s program and any adaptations /materials needed to facilitate improved performance in the classroom or at home;
5. Conducts classroom observations to assist in monitoring interventions, collecting/analyzing data to assist in determining effectiveness and/or need for higher levels of interventions;
6. Provides a variety of psychological services in support of regular and special education students ranging from 3 through 21 years. These services may involve assessment, program planning, direct or supervised intervention and provision of in-service training;
7. Provides consultation to parents, teachers, other school personnel, and community agencies to enhance the learning and adjustment of students;
8. Screens and evaluates referred children including selecting appropriate instruments, administering assessments, observations, and writing reports which state the evaluation findings and provide for educational program recommendations;
9. Participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Eligibility Determination committee contributing evaluation findings and collaborating on the child’s educational plan;
10. Provides collaborative consultation and documentation of results including assisting basic education staff with suggestions and implementation of RTI, pre-referral  intervention strategies, and providing recommendations and modifications to assist basic education staff in working with special education students in the classroom setting;
11. Communicates with a variety of individuals and groups for the purpose of providing appropriate information to students, parents or guardians, community health professionals, and district personnel;
12. Complies information from a variety of sources for the purpose of producing a comprehensive evaluation report in compliance with established guidelines;
13. Consults with a variety of individuals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services, providing feedback, and making recommendations to appropriate personnel;
14. Coordinates with community agencies for the purpose of determining appropriate treatments, strategies, and activities to meet the needs of specific students;
15. Knowledge of behavioral mental health, collaborative and/or consultation models and methods and their application;
16. Proficient use of technology to communicate, compile reports and collect data;
17. JOB SUMMARY: The Dougherty County School System is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired teacher to join our roster of experienced, motivated, and effective teaching professionals. The Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments to ensure their access to the general education curriculum. The TVI will assess students’ needs, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement instructional strategies that foster independence and academic success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelors’ degree or higher;
2. Georgia Teacher Certification in Special Education with an endorsement in Visual Impairments;
3. Proficiency in Braille (Unified English Braille – UEB) preferred;
4. Experience working with students with visual impairments in an educational setting preferred;
5. Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive tools for students with visual impairments;
6. Experience working with students who are blind or have low vision;
7. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

3. Teach compensatory skills, including Braille, assistive technology, orientation and mobility (O&M) support, and daily living skills;
4. Adapt curriculum and materials into accessible formats (Braille, large print, digital text, tactile graphics);
5. Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student learning;
6. Train students on the use of assistive technology, including screen readers, magnification software, and electronic Braille displays;
7. Conduct functional vision assessments (FVA) and learning media assessments (LMA) to determine the best instructional approaches;
8. Advocate for necessary classroom accommodations and modifications to create an inclusive learning environment;
9. Maintain accurate records, including assessment reports, IEPs, progress reports, and communication logs;
10. Assist in the transition planning process for students moving from grade to grade and post-secondary education or employment;
11. Work closely with families, community resources, and external service providers to ensure comprehensive support for students;
12. Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the Supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to lift and carry instructional materials and equipment as needed;
2. Ability to move and position oneself to demonstrate and assist with mobility techniques;

The Dougherty County School System is seeking a System Administrator to join our roster of experienced, motivated, and effective professionals. The System Administrator will be responsible for the availability, maintenance, and repair of systems in the enterprise environment. The System Administrator will ensure tasks are completed according to best practices and create supporting documentation. This role provides tier 2 and 3 support for issues that have been escalated. This role will also work closely with our partners to integrate and implement new solutions.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field;

2. Directly related experience may substitute for a degree or certification on a year-for-year basis;

3. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with technical support for desktop hardware and software applications providing first-call phone and desktop resolution;

4. Must have professional and technical experience working with the local area and wide area networks, desktop computers, hardware and software applications, upgrades, and installation, Microsoft Solutions Associate (MCSA), and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MSCE) are highly desirable;

5. UNIX/LINUX, MCSA and/or MCSE certification preferred;

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
1. Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation;

2. Ability to lift and move computer equipment, including monitors, keyboards, printers, and servers, weighing up to 50 pounds;

3. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach as required for system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting;

4. Ability to work in confined spaces such as server rooms or wiring closets;
