    Salary: Commensurate with experience
    Benefits Eligibility: Eligible for full-time benefits for certified personnel
    Work Year: 8/18/2025 - 6/2/2026
    Days Off:  10 holidays plus winter break (10 days) and spring break (5 days)
    Schedule: 8:15am - 3:45pm

    Qualifications & Licensure:
    Graduate degree from an accredited university, completion of acceptable graduate coursework in social work, and a defined period of supervised practical experience; must hold current Professional Educator License in Social Work; experience in a K-12 educational setting is preferred.

    Assistant Directors of Student Services

    Performance Responsibilities:

     
    • Serve as a lead liaison between families, staff, and the community
    • Seek and secure partnerships with community resources, based on student and family need
    • Provide leadership in the identification, design, and implementation of social emotional and behavioral support for students who receive special education services
    • Provide direct instruction and/or consultation that aligns with goals and objectives as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students identified with significant academic, functional (adaptive), communication, and/or cognitive needs
    • Support the generalization of skills across settings
    • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve in the moment in the best interest of students
    • Collaboratively assist students in the development of adaptive/daily living skills
    • Demonstrate the use of instructional strategies such as positive behavior interventions and supports, prompting hierarchies, visual supports, and sensory integration
    • Serve as a member of the Crisis Response Team
    • Participate in 3-year reevaluations for students identified with significant cognitive, academic, functional (adaptive), and communication needs by completing social developmental reviews and adaptive assessments
    • Collaboratively conduct Functional Behavior Analysis (FBAs) on an as-needed basis
     


    Terms of Employment:
    10 Month Position; salary and benefits as determined annually by the D28 Board of Education
