Salary Range: $120,000-$145,000, or commensurate with experience
Benefits Eligibility: Eligible for full-time benefits for certified personnel, including insurance for medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability; tuition reimbursement; sick, personal and vacation days

Qualifications:
1) Master's Degree in Education
2) Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrator or Principal Endorsement
3) Illinois Teacher Evaluator Approval
4) Prior experience in special education
 
Position Goal:
Provide leadership as an Assistant Director in support of a high quality educational program for all students

Reports to:
Director of Student Services
 
Performance Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the principal and district administrators to implement a multi-tiered system of support
• Collaborate with the principal to facilitate the problem-solving process
• Oversee the administration and coordination of the school’s special education and Section 504 services to ensure continuity and alignment with District goals, and federal and state laws
• Serve as a liaison for students served in private and parochial schools
• Provide leadership in planning and implementing professional development
• Support staff with structures, strategies, and interventions that promote student success
• Assist the principal in implementing the crisis response system
• Assist in the selection, placement, supervision, and evaluation of Student Services personnel
• Collaborate with building and district-level administrators to plan, implement, and evaluate improvement efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services
 
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of D28 Board of Education’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel
