Position Definition:  The Cleaning Staff shall be responsible for all cleaning activities for CLIU #21 office locations.
 
Relationship:  The Cleaning Staff shall be directly responsible to the Supervisor of Operations.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education/Experience:  
• Experience in all aspects of cleaning buildings.
• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
 
Skills/Knowledge:  
• Demonstrates the ability to understand and follow written instructions, work orders, and schedules.
• Demonstrates the ability to exercise good judgment.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment.
 
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated by patience, understanding, and congeniality.
• Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to organize, plan, and manage job responsibilities in order to complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function/duty/responsibility at acceptable standards. In accordance with both state and/or federal law, reasonable accommodations will be considered upon employee request.
 
Essential:
• Cleans CLIU #21 office locations, including, but not limited to, rest rooms, floors, offices, conference rooms, kitchen areas, lobby, loading dock, and all-purpose room.
• Disposes of all trash and recycling into dumpsters.
• Works with Supervisor of Operations on semi-annual building cleaning projects.
• Responsible for building security after building staff leaves the premises.
 
Secondary:
• Makes coffee for groups and cleans up when finished.
• Assists visitors who are using the facility in the evening.
• Picks up mail at Transportation Center two times per week.
• Collects and shreds office documents.

• Organizes and packs materials (including interoffice mail, equipment, and supplies) by delivery destination based on daily schedule.
• Maintains highest level of customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
• Operates a van with a maximum degree of safety.
• Works with the mailroom to ensure all interoffice mail is picked up from CLIU #21 mail bins and delivered to the appropriate site.
• Picks up shredding at CLIU #21 locations and delivers to the CLIU #21 Central Office.
• Delivers mail to Schnecksville Post Office daily.
• Maintains current and accurate records of delivery operations, including time sheets and other tracking forms, as needed.
