    Program/Department: Special Education (Oakview Middle/High School)

    Position Length: Full time following the 2024-2025 academic calendar

    Salary range:  $250 per day without certification, $275 per day with certification

    Start Date: Immediately upon hire

    Closing date of applications:  Open until filled

    Long-term substitute Special Education Teacher needed to work in a regional special education program with children with Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disabilities. Work with well-trained teams in a positive teaching environment. Extensive staff development and teacher support provided.

    Qualifications:  Candidates must have a degree in special education and be eligible for/hold State of Connecticut teaching certificate required for the position.  CT Certification (165) preferred.  Candidates with previous teaching experience and a MS/MA in the discipline/field are preferred.  See attached job description.
