    Department:  Regional Center for the Arts (RCA)

    Salary Range: $48.91 per hour

    Position Length: This is an academic year, part-time position. Depending on the need, it could be a series of days or as long as several months.  Monday - Thursday 12:45 pm - 4:45 pm, plus extra hours as needed for productions.

    Responsibilities:  Plan instruction and teach assigned classes, create and administer assessments, maintain accurate records of student attendance and achievement, collaborate with other members of the RCA faculty, attend staff meetings, communicate with parents, and other assigned duties. 

    RCA is a part time interdistrict magnet high school committed to bring together people of diverse cultural heritage to develop in all students the knowledge, skills, attitudes and self-discipline to reach their fullest artistic potential, to live a productive life and to contribute to society as creative engaged citizens.

    We are looking for performing arts teachers to act as a substitute while a current staff member is not available.  The time frame will vary based upon the need of the school. The instructor would teach classes in their area of expertise on Monday through Thursday from 12:45 - 4:45.  Teachers should be willing and able to work with students with a variety of abilities and experience levels.  The successful candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s degree, professional experience as a performer and a demonstrated ability to teach young people.
