    Technology Specialist
    Location: To be determined
    Full-time, Permanent, 12 month position

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Must have knowledge and experience with current Apple & PC operating systems, wireless networking and related hardware
    2. Experience with administration, configuration, installation, testing and deploying Apple & PC computers
    3. Experience with troubleshooting, analyzing, testing, and installing software upgrades
    4. Assist staff with preparing clear, complete and concise reports and records
    5. Associates degree or equivalent combination of training.  Minimum of 5 years practical experience in a technology related field.
    6. Must be able to work in-person while performing basic job duties
     DESCRIPTION:
    1. Support the technology in the classrooms that is critical to instruction- Smart technologies, projectors, iPads, Laptops, applications, etc.
    2. This position will work directly with teachers and staff in the buildings as part of a support team
    3. Team members will work out of regional areas to facilitate response time but will not be locked to any one building

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Supporting Hardware (as applicable)
    1. Laptops
      • initial/ongoing configuration- knowing process
      • ongoing maintenance, verification of software updates and troubleshooting
     
    1. iPads
      • initial/ongoing configuration-knowing process
      • ongoing maintenance, verification of software updates and troubleshooting
     
    1. Smart Boards/ Panels and Bright Link Projectors
      • Installing/updating software
      • Running diagnostics software
      • Projector/Panel troubleshooting
     
    1. Printers/Copiers
      • Installing/updating software
      • ongoing support of network connectivity and verification of driver updates
     
    1. Wireless
      • Initial troubleshooting incidents
      • Document specific information on issues in ticket
     
    1. Other Building specific hardware
      • initial/ongoing configuration-knowing process
      • ongoing maintenance/software updates
      • Troubleshooting incidents

    Software/Application testing and roll out
    1. Initial testing in conjunction with Systems operations team for compatibility
    2. Verifying deployment onto needed computers
    Incident tickets
    1. Following process for ticket reporting and management in Incident IQ
    2. Initial response/contact to staff within 24-48 hours
    3. Documentation of tickets and resolutions
      • Maintaining information on current status/needs for resolution in ticket
      • Include resolution information when ticket is closed-how and when resolved
    Asset Tracking
    1. Incident IQ data up to date for building-all technology hardware
    2. Entering data when needed for new equipment
    3. Documenting when equipment is decommissioned
