GENERAL INFORMATION:
Location: Lewes, DE & Milton, DE
Spanish Immersion Teachers:
• Plan, teach, and assess elementary K-5 math, science and Spanish literacy.
• Team with an English-partner teacher as part of the dual immersion program.
• Strive to implement, by instruction and action, the District’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives
• Plan a program of study that is designed to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
Applicants will be required to work in schools within the Cape Henlopen School District, all within the same MSA.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Must hold or be eligible for a State of Delaware Teaching License
• Must hold or be eligible for certification in Elementary (K-6) or Early Childhood (Birth-Grade 2)
• Must hold or be eligible for certification in World Language (K-12) or Bilingual Teacher (K-12) in Spanish
• Must have specialized training/student teaching in grades K-12
• Must be able to achieve a rating of passing or higher on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Oral Proficiency Interview (ACTFL OPI)
• Must be able to achieve a rating of passing or higher on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages on the Writing Proficiency Test (ACTFL WPT) or must be able to Praxis II: Spanish Test (Test code: 5195) and
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass Praxis #5001 or Praxis Elementary Education Content Knowledge and
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
