  Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN will provide and assist with direct care to students and staff.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Duties may include, but not limited to: tube feedings, suctioning, tracheostomy care, maintaining medical support devices, oxygen therapy, diabetic care and insulin management, catheterization, medication administration, maintain documentation of health care services
• Assist in lifting, moving and positioning students as necessary to render various forms of personal care, which may include but are not limited to feeding, dressing, grooming, toileting, diapering and therapies
• Be flexible and receptive to change; utilize a variety of methods, procedures, and equipment commonly used in nursing and specialized health care procedures
• Attend training sessions, and other in-service activities as directed by the Special Education Director, Registered Nurse and Nursing Director
• Maintain confidentiality of student records in accordance with District and legal requirements; attend 504 and IEP meetings as needed; meet the physical requirements necessary to safely, and effectively perform the required duties
• Adhere to all policies of the district
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing, building RN, building administrator and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent, in accordance with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing Guidelines

Certification/License:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Practical Nursing License, from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing
• CPR certification
• Successful completion of all background checks
