Education and Experience Requirements: |
- National Certified School Counselor credential issued by National Board for Certified Counselors; Or
- Master’s degree in Guidance Counseling or Masters in Social Work; Or
- Current New Mexico Licensure from Counseling & Practice Board or Social Work Board (LPC, LPCC, LMHC, LISW, LCSW, LMSW)
- Current New Mexico Public Education License as School Counselor “preferred or eligibility”
- School experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: |
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with students, parents, staff, and administrators
- Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements
- Ability to develop a rapport with community providers and build collaboration to assure on going care for our students.

Salary: Nine months (185 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the District Certified Teacher Salary Schedule. Conditions of Employment: Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and, upon an offer of employment, complete an Employee’s Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the District’s expense to determine ability to perform job-related functions and fitness for duty. Any offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of all background, criminal, and reference investigations. |
