Job Description - Nurse Assistant Substitutes
Position Summary: To maintain and/or improve student health status, thereby enabling them to fully benefit from the educational experiences.
Reports To: corporation nurse
Essential Responsibilities:
Demonstrates effective organizational and clinical skills.
Assumes responsibility, in the absence of the corporation nurse, for the care of students or staff members who have suffered an injury or illness.
Assesses, identifies, and monitors the physical, emotional, and social needs of students.
Provides medical attention and/or administers authorized medications for students as necessary.
Documents accurately in the student’s medical record any medical care and/or medication administration provided.
Communicates with corporate nurse and parents any significant injury or illness occurring during the school day.
Displays a professional appearance.
Maintains professionalism and integrity.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Performs other tasks as assigned by corporation nurses.
Qualifications & Requirements: Certified Emergency Medical Technician, preferred or medical assistant, nurse, or two years related experience and/or training with first aid, CPR and AED certification.
Reimbursement: $100.00 per day/$50.00 per half day
