Substitute Bus Driver
Schedule: Part-time - AS NEEDED
Qualifications:
- Ability to safely perform the duties of the position
- Excellent communication skills to interact with parents and student passengers
- Work well with children
Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain valid Michigan driver's license
- Must successfully complete all necessary training to be a certified bus driver
- Must meet and maintain WLPS and Michigan Department of Education comentency levels of driving skills
- Must meet federal DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements
- Must meet necessary physical requirements
- Must agree to a Michigan State Police and federal background check
- Must be 18 or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Abbreviated Job Description (includes but not limited to):
Drive school bus and assure a safe and orderly ride. May assist students with seating, assistive devices, safety and behavioral concerns. Communicate issues and relay information between families, students, and transportation department.
Deadline: Until filled
Salary: $16 per hour/step 1 on the Transportaion salary scale
